Renewal Qualification Period
You may renew your A2 CofC or GVC certificates any time within 6 months of the certificate’s expiry date.
Renewal Requirements
Provide a copy of the original CAA A2 CofC and/or GVC certificate you wish to renew (certificates must be valid at time of renewal course purchase).
Provide a valid CAA Flyer ID (if the Flyer ID on your existing certificate has changed).
Proof of identity (driving licence or passport).
Pass the the current theory exam for the qualification you wish to renew (A2 CofC & GVC combined you only take 1 exam).
Competency Requirements;
A2 CofC: Sign a self declaration form to declare you are a competent remote pilot.
GVC: Provide logbook evidence of 2hrs flying in the last 3 months (for GVC FW & MR, currency must be on both).
How To Renew
Purchase the renewal you require above and you will be taken to our online payment system.
Once your renewal has been processed you will receive your login details to our training portal where you can;
Review the current theory course materials to brush up on your knowledge.
Take the included practice exam/s to test your knowledge for a good pass.
When you're ready, contact us to book your theory exam.
The theory exam is taken on our training portal and monitored by one of our invigilators via Zoom.
A computer with a microphone and webcam is required.
You may sit the theory exam in person at our Bristol based training centre.
Instructor Led 1 day virtual or in person revision crammer courses available, contact us for details.
Expired A2 CofC & GVC Certificates
If your A2 CofC or GVC certificate has expired, do not purchase a renewal course. Please contact us on 07961 771418 for information on our expired certificate renewal courses.
