UK
Spectrum Drone Services is a UK based, CAA approved drone operator located south of Bristol. We provide our drone services throughout the UK and our highly experienced drone teams have unique first-hand experience of operating the length and breadth of the UK providing multi-mission drone services in complex environments.
European
We are approved by the UK CAA to operate within the UK and we have many years of operating manned aircraft and drones in Europe. At Spectrum Drone Services we are well versed in obtaining permissions to fly in other European countries and have the drones, professional qualifications and experience many countries require.
Global
When required Spectrum Drone Services can deliver operations globally. As with our European experience we also have experience flying in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Each country has its own requirement for operating drones but with our highly experienced team global drone operations can be a reality.
When required we are able to provide a rapid response to international events when called upon.
Spectrum Drone Services Specialist Drone Deployments
June 2018 saw Spectrum Drone Services provide specialist drone services in central Africa. Our precise location and task are confidential but we are pleased to have provided a valuable service.
After flying into a remote and unprepared jungle landing strip by light aircraft we provided vital front line drone solutions and services in the most challenging environments.
While operating in country special permissions were granted to operate Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS). Reconnaissance flights were carried out to a distance of 10km from our base up to an altitude of 3,000 feet.
In 2015 we provided a high-end pilot service which required our chief pilot to fly in the world’s first theatrical drone performance in Abu Dhabi. This prestigious event was the closing finale to the World Summit on the Global Agenda gala dinner.
The drone performance saw five specially designed DJI drones being flown to an audience of 1,500 honoured guests of the Abu Dhabi Royal Family. The drone show took place at night, with dancers and actors and was set to music requiring split second timing... a world's first!
