nqe to GVC Conversion - Course Only
CAA Update 10th January 2024
The qualifying requirements for the GVC Conversion course are now;
Hold a UK Full Recommendation issued by a previous UK NQE.
Can evidence a minimum of 2hrs flying currency, in the three months preceding the conversion course, accrued in both the specific category and/or the open category.
What does this mean for me?
As long as you are in possession of your original NQE issued Certificate of Recommendation you qualify for the NQE to GVC conversion course.
You will have to supply a copy of your Certificate of Recommendation, along with logbook evidence of a minimum of 2 hours flight on the class of drone you were originally certified for (multirotor/fixed wing).
You do not have to hold a valid CAA Operational Authorisation or be nominated in an operators operations manual.
You are not required to carry out a practical flight assessment.

Why do I need a NQE to GVC conversion course?
As of 1st January 2024, flights in the Specific Category now require the remote pilot to hold a valid General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC). You can convert easily to the new GVC format with our GVC conversion course.

Exam
The course includes one exam that consists of 40 multiple choice questions.
A practice exam is included in the course so you can test your knowledge before you sit the final exam.
A resit fee will be required for online exam resits should an additional exam be required.
NQE to GVC Conversion & Operations Manual Update
This course includes a full review of your Operations Manual (standard permission) to include all CAA and regulatory updates bringing your Operations Manual in line with all CAA requirements.

Combined Multirotor & Fixed Wing GVC Conversion
If you hold a UK Full Recommendation issued by a previous UK NQE for multirotor and fixed wing you can convert both qualifications with this one course.

NQE to GVC Conversion - Online Course
After enrolment the comprehensive introduction module will guide you through the process of how to access the course so you can obtain everything you need. Many people prefer web based training. if this is you then the this course is ideal.
Flexible Learning
Your course is valid for a period of 6 months* giving you plenty of time to complete the required elements. It will take around 12-15 hours to complete the theory phase. You can learn at your own pace, you are in control and can decide how much you want to study and when.
You won’t be expected to go through lots of reference documents, the course is clearly laid out and all the information is easy to absorbed,
You can stop, start or revisit a module at any time making our online eLearning package a very flexible solution.

With our instructor led NQE to GVC instructor led course you will be learning direct from an experienced drone instructor and operator.
Many of or clients prefer to be taught in a classroom environment or via webchat as it provides the best interactive learning environment.
